The 2005 image was taken June 24th, 1993 from Meadow Mtn. Run Bog, Garrett County, MD. Common over the State. All., A.A., Balt., Calvert. and Gar. Counties. June 5th to Novemeber 5th. Larva a general feeder on deciduous trees, shrubs and some other herbaceeous plants. The moth is commonly found resting under loose bark of standing dead trees, particularly oaks.
