The 2005 image was taken April 20th, 1987 from New Germany State Park, Garrett County, MD. Common on the Appalachian Plateau, absent eastward. Gar County. May 8th to May 31st. Larva on hemlock in MD. Like F.jocosa, the vivid green of this moth fades quickly if it is not spread and dried shortly after capture.
