Common over State. All., A.A., Balt., Calvert, Car., Charles, Dor., Garrett, Har., Howard, P.G. and Wo. Counties. The larva (Smartweed Caterpillar) is a pest of apple and other fruit trees. Larva also feed on clover, corn, cotton, elms, grasses, pines, oaks, smartweed, strawberry plants and willows.
