The male has a thiner and longer abdomen. The image with two moths has the (M) on the left and the (F) on the right. Common over State. All., A.A., Balt., Calvert, Charles, Garrett, Howard, Wic. and Wo. Counties. August 29th to October 19th. Frequently flies at temperatures as low as 40 degrees F. Larva on many deciduous trees.
