The spread moth is from the collection of John Glaser of Baltimore, MD. The moth was taken from Yancey County, NC .3 miles west of Balsam Gap of the Black Mountains June 19th, 1996. Rare in Maryland. This species is essentially a Southern Applachian in distribution; its Costial Plain occurence here is unusual.
