Common in western Maryland mountains, east to Baltimore County, not seen from Coastal Plain. All. A.A., Garrett and Wash. Counties. April 8th to June 12th. The moth is a day flier, feeding in the larval state on alders, juneberries, chokeberries, hawthorns, poplars and Prunus.
