Oxon Hill, Prince Georges County; Sycamore Landing, Montgomery County. June 7th September 13th. Occurs in the eastern U.S. from Maryland and Illinois southward. Reported to feed on Osage Orange, Maclura ponifera (Raf), (Munroe, 1976:56). This tree is native only to parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas but has been widely introduced eastward.
