DESCRIPTION   A.A., Calvert, Cecil, Charles, Dor., Kent, P.G., Somerset, Wash. and Wo. Counties. May 6th to June 9th and July 16th to September 11th. This species ranges from Quebec to British Columbia and southward to southern Florida and southern Texas. The larva bores in the buds, fruits and stems of various waterlilies and has been called the lotus borer (Chittenden, 1919; Welch, 1919; Ainsile, 1922, and others cited by Munroe, 1976). Numerous specimens from other states in the USNM were reared from larvae on Nelumbo lotus. e r
